H\u00fcgel von San Martino, im historischen Zentrum von Artegna, dominiert die Burg Savorgnan aus dem 12. Jahrhundert das Tal. Urspr\u00fcnglich gab es zwei Burgen, die obere und die untere, und sie bewachten die alte Via Julia Augusta, die von Aquileia nach Noricum f\u00fchrte. Die obere Burg wurde Ende des 13. Jahrhunderts aufgegeben, die untere Burg kann heute kostenlos von allen besichtigt werden, die etwas \u00fcber die Geschichte der Herren von Artegna, der Familie Savorgnan, erfahren wollen. Nach dem Erdbeben von 1976 wurde das Geb\u00e4ude sogar teilweise restauriert und f\u00fcr die \u00d6ffentlichkeit zug\u00e4nglich gemacht.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div auf dem H\u00fcgel befindet sich direkt neben dem Eingang, aber es ist auch m\u00f6glich, vom Dorfplatz aus \u00fcber eine historische Treppe zur Burg hinaufzugehen. Von hier aus f\u00fchrt ein gr\u00fcner Pfad an der Ostflanke des H\u00fcgels entlang. Nachdem du Artegna von oben bewundert hast, geht es weiter zu den arch\u00e4ologischen \u00dcberresten, die bei den Ausgrabungen ans Licht gekommen sind, und du bekommst einen Einblick in die mittelalterliche Geschichte der Burg. Ebenfalls sehr sch\u00f6n zu erkunden ist der geologisch-naturkundliche Pfad entlang des S\u00fcdhangs.<\/p>\n<h5>ARCH\u00c4OLOGISCHE \u00dcBERRESTE<\/h5>\n<p>Unterwegs sto\u00dfen wir auf die \u00dcberreste der Westmauern, die Zisterne aus dem 4. und 5. Jahrhundert, die Mauern des Gipfelplateaus und die kleine Kirche San Martino und erreichen schlie\u00dflich die Die Kirche beherbergt einen Freskenzyklus aus dem Jahr 1503, der Gian Paolo Thanner zugeschrieben wird.<\/p>\n<p>Eine Kuriosit\u00e4t: Die Fresken wurden durch Einst\u00fcrze ans Tageslicht gebracht, das Schloss renoviert und umgebaut und im Inneren wurden Ausstellungsr\u00e4ume und mehr eingerichtet. Die untere Etage wird derzeit als Restaurant genutzt und beherbergt eine Bar\/Weinstube, von deren Terrasse aus du einen herrlichen Blick auf den H\u00fcgel und Artegna hast.
