di origine glaciale che si trova sull&#8217;omonimo monte, in una conca a 1936 m sul livello del mare. Si trova immerso tra le cime delle montagne ed \u00e8 raggiungibile tramite un sentiero ben battuto e di facile percorrenza. \u00c8 l&#8217;itinerario perfetto poich\u00e9 combina la visita alla <a href=\"https:\/\/explorerfvg.com\/luoghi\/malghe\/malga-pramosio\/\">malga Pramosio<\/a>, una camminata medio\/facile al lago e l&#8217;eventuale prosecuzione fino a cima conca tra le cime delle montagne, il lago si rivela in tutto il suo splendore. L&#8217;ambiente \u00e8 tranquillo ed infonde una grande serenit\u00e0. Essendo vicini al confine con l&#8217;Austria, lungo il percorso che porta alla vetta, si incontrano diversi tunnel e resti di fortificazioni della prima guerra mondiale. ghiacciaio erode la terra, poi comincia a ritirarsi, lasciando un deposito di ghiaccio nella conca che aveva creato. Successivamente il ghiaccio si scioglie e riempie l&#8217;avvallamento. La sua vita fu stroncata da un cecchino durante uno dei suoi viaggi.
