strada che da Faedis porta ad Attimis troneggia il Castello di Partistagno, recentemente ristrutturato e visitabile. Il castello risale probabilmente al secolo XI ed \u00e8 uno fra i pi\u00f9 antichi siti fortificati documentati in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Del castello fa parte anche la chiesa di Sant\u2019Osvaldo, decorata da un ragguardevole ciclo di affreschi. L\u2019insediamento dominava la via nevralgica che collegava Cividale del Friuli e Gemona e tutt&#8217;oggi la vista sulla pianura friulana \u00e8 impareggiabile. La fortificazione aveva funzione amministrativa e di residenza signorile; inizialmente era costituita da una torre mastio e dalla domus; successivamente venne costruita una cerchia inferiore dominata da un elegante palatium quattrocentesco con finestre bifore.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-47e4f62e nobiliari; di conseguenza la struttura \u00e8 stata rimaneggiata e ampliata pi\u00f9 volte nel corso dei secoli. Il nucleo pi\u00f9 antico del castello, collocabile tra la fine del XII e la fine del XIII secolo, comprende la torre-mastio, la chiesa intitolata a Sant\u2019Osvaldo e il cosiddetto \u201ccorpo occidentale\u201d o \u201cdomus\u201d. Tracce di una precedente e ancora pi\u00f9 antica strutturazione dell\u2019area sommitale sono state rinvenute al di sotto della torre e della zona presbiteriale della chiesa. La porzione inferiore del sito, edificata tra la fine del XIV e gli inizi del XV secolo, \u00e8 connotata da un elegante \u201cpalatium\u201d o residenza signorile che si sviluppa su tre piani ed \u00e8 munito di seminterrato in cui sono visibili alcune delle tracce di frequentazione attribuibili alle fasi di abbandono di XVI-XVII secolo. La visita \u00e8 articolata e interessante, ancor pi\u00f9 se fatta con la guida che spiega la funzione di ogni edificio. L\u2019interno della chiesa, umile e dimesso, contrasta con un\u2019incredibile serie di affreschi che decorano il catino absidale. Si riconoscono tre strati pittorici sovrapposti, di cui il pi\u00f9 arcaico, e forse coevo alla costruzione dell\u2019abside, \u00e8 caratterizzato dalla figura di San Cristoforo e dall\u2019angelo dell\u2019Annunciazione dipinti sull\u2019arco trionfale. Il catino absidale \u00e8 occupato dal livello pittorico pi\u00f9 recente, datato al XIV secolo, in cui spiccano la figura di Cristo Pantocr\u00e0tor circondato dai simboli dei quattro Evangelisti e
