Erto e Casso sono tristemente conosciuti per uno dei disastri pi\u00f9 grandi del 1900. Nell&#8217;ottobre del &#8217;63, una colonna d&#8217;acqua di 50 milioni di metri cubi, a causa di una frana, scavalc\u00f2 la diga del Vajont e dilav\u00f2 parzialmente i due paesi di Erto e Casso, per poi incanalarsi nella valle del Piave e finire la sua corsa distruggendo il paese di Longarone. La storia di questo luogo e dei suoi abitanti, per\u00f2, \u00e8 una storia di resilienza, che port\u00f2 alla ricostruzione dei due borghi, che oggi testimoniano la forza dell&#8217;unione tra le persone. A dimostrazione, le abitazioni in pietra che sono state ricostruite sulle fondamenta delle precedenti e sorgono addossate l&#8217;una all&#8217;altra, come in un Erto \u00e8 stato completamente ricostruito dopo il disastro del Vajont, conta diversi servizi ed \u00e8 pi\u00f9 turistico. Inoltre, ospita il laboratorio di Mauro Corona, che attira molti visitatori. Il borgo \u00e8 molto bello,\u00a0 le tipiche case a torre che caratterizzano la zona sono addossate le une alle altre e le stradine si sviluppano su gradoni e sono acciottolate.\nUna tappa importante l&#8217;area circostante ci sono moltissimi sentieri per ogni grado di difficolt\u00e0, cos\u00ec come vie d&#8217;arrampicata e palestre di roccia. Qui se ne nominano solo alcuni per la loro particolarit\u00e0.<\/p><h5>SENTIERO DEL CARBONE<\/h5><p>Il Trui dal Sciarb\u00f2n, Sentiero del Carbone, che congiunge Erto e Casso, \u00e8 un percorso montano che offre splendidi panorami sulle Dolomiti. Dal sentiero si possono vedere anche il lago del Vajont e la frana.<\/p><h5>IL GIRO DEL LAGO E LA PISTA CICLABILE<\/h5><p>Uno dei modi migliori per osservare la frana del Vajont \u00e8 compiere il <em>Giro del Lago<\/em>, percorribile in auto, a piedi o in mountain bike. L&#8217;anello di 14 km passa sul ponte ricostruito dopo il disastro e permette di vedere il panorama sulla forra del torrente Vajont, di scorgere in lontananza i borghi di Casso ed Erto e di contemplare il paesaggio selvaggio delle montagne dolomitiche. Lungo il percorso passa anche una pista ciclabile e una volta all&#8217;anno vi si tiene una gara podistica chiamata &#8220;I percorsi della L&#8217;automobile pu\u00f2 essere lasciata all&#8217;inizio del borgo perch\u00e9 il centro\u00a0\u00e8 visitabile esclusivamente a piedi.<\/p><h5>ERTO<\/h5><p>Erto si raggiunge con facilit\u00e0 seguendo le indicazioni dalla diga del Vajont. La strada divide in due il paese, da una parte l&#8217;abitato, dall&#8217;altra il centro
