We are inside the Friulian Dolomites Natural Park, in the realm of the Pitina, where the emeralds of Tramonti di Sopra are found, set in the long Meduna Valley. They are not precious stones, but jewels that the stream gives away, settling in the spaces carved between the white Carnic rocks over time. From there, we penetrate the valley to the characteristic abandoned village of Frassaneit, a place of stories and ghosts, returning along the same route. Weather and lake conditions permitting, on the way back we will stop at Lake Redona to discover the sunken village of Movada. Make sure you are ready with the appropriate technical clothing and a packed lunch to make the most of this unforgettable adventure.
