Excursion to the Pozze Smeraldine and the ghost town of Frassaneit in Val Meduna

We are inside the Friulian Dolomites Natural Park, in the kingdom of Pitina, where the emeralds of Tramonti di Sopra are located, set in the long Val Meduna. They are not precious stones, but jewels that the stream gives us, settling in the spaces carved out between the white Carnic rocks over time. From there, we venture into the valley to the characteristic abandoned village of Frassaneit, a place of stories and ghosts, returning along the same route. Weather and lake conditions permitting, on the way back we will stop at Lake Redona to discover the submerged village of Movada. Make sure you are prepared with the appropriate technical clothing and a packed lunch to make the most of this unforgettable adventure.
