Proposed winter trekking in the snow with snowshoes, at the foot of Resettum, in the splendid and wild setting of the Friulian Dolomites Natural Park. Around us, we will be able to admire the whitened peaks of the rugged Oltre Piave Dolomites. Beneath our feet, on the other hand, the generally beautiful and abundant snow that characterises the area where we will be moving. We will also take advantage of the opportunity to walk in the snow by the light of the moon, which will be almost full on this weekend at the end of January. We will set off just above the village of Claut and snowshoe along a wide loop route that winds along the northern slope of Monte Resettum. We will alternate long, pleasant stretches with some more fun or challenging ones. All always with a view to maximum safety, adapting the route, if necessary, according to the snow conditions we will find. Our host for the night is the Pradut Refuge, where we can refresh ourselves with its warm atmosphere and excellent food. On the first day, along an easy uphill route, we will go from an altitude of 650 metres up to around 1450 metres; having made the greatest effort, we will be able to enjoy the last easy stretch to the Pradut Refuge. On the second day we will start at altitude and, after a short ascent, we will snowshoe along beautiful stretches of fresh snow, choosing between a couple of itineraries for the descent, in order to ensure maximum enjoyment in safe conditions.
