Hiking in Val Raccolana: among waterfalls, caves and springs in Chiusaforte

We are in the municipality of Chiusaforte, called, not by chance, the 'municipality of waterfalls'. The Fontanon di Goriuda is the most famous, can be seen from the road and is much visited. But few are those who go to its springs. A short and easy hike will take us to the cave from where the waters of the Fontanon flow out. On the way back we will visit another little-visited waterfall, that of the Cjalderon. At lunch, for those who wish, there will be the opportunity to stop for something to eat at the 'Trattoria al Fontanon', where Daniele will give us a taste of excellent dishes with 0 km products.

Description

Ci troviamo nel comune di Chiusaforte, chiamato, non a caso, il "comune delle cascate". Il Fontanon di Goriuda è la più famosa, si vede dalla strada ed è molto visitata. Ma pochi sono coloro che vanno alle sue sorgenti. Una breve e facile escursione ci porterà alla grotta da dove fuoriescono le acque del Fontanon. Al ritorno visiteremo un'altra cascata poco frequentata, quella del Cjalderon. A pranzo, per chi vorrà, ci sarà la possibilità di fermarsi a mangiare qualcosa alla "Trattoria al Fontanon", dove Daniele ci farà assaggiare ottimi piatti con prodotti a Km 0.
