THE DATA CONTROLLER

DATA PROTECTION OFFICER

The Data Controller, in accordance with Article 37 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) who can be reached at privacy@explorerfvg.com.

PURPOSE OF PROCESSING

Following consultation of this site, data relating to identified or identifiable persons may be processed.

-Navigation data-

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected in order to be associated with identified interested parties, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users connecting to the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user's operating system and IT environment. This data is used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check that it is functioning correctly, and is deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of hypothetical computer crimes to the detriment of the site: apart from this possibility, at present the data on web contacts do not persist for more than seven days. The site uses technical and section cookies to ensure its functionality. These cookies do not collect information relating to browsing activities.

DATA PROVIDED VOLUNTARILY BY THE USER

The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of personal data by the user in the registration / contact / newsletter subscription / and personal data collection forms on this site entails the subsequent acquisition of the data provided by the sender, necessary for the provision of the requested service. Specific information will be progressively reported or displayed on the pages of the site set up for particular services on request.

WHAT DATA WE COLLECT
  • Shops you visited: we will use it, for example, to show you the shops you have recently visited.
  • Products you have displayed: we will use it, for instance, to show you products you have recently viewed.
  • Location, IP address and browser type: use them for purposes such as the ideal selection of the language to be displayed.

We also use cookies to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart as you browse the site.

When you shop at Explorer FVG, we ask you to provide us with information such as your name, billing address, e-mail address, telephone number, credit/payment card details and optional account information such as username and password. We will use this information for purposes such as:

  1. Send you information about your account and your order;
  2. Responding to your requests, including refunds and complaints;
  3. Process payments and prevent fraud;
  4. Set up your account;
  5. Fulfilling legal obligations, such as the calculation of taxes;
  6. Improving our offers;
  7. Send you update and marketing messages, if you decide to receive them.
  8. If you create an account, we store your name, address, e-mail address and telephone number, which will be used to fill and speed up your booking for future orders.

We generally keep your information for as long as necessary for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not required by law to continue to retain it. For example, we keep order information for 5 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes name, email address, and billing and shipping addresses.

We will also keep comments or reviews if the user decides to leave them.

WHO HAS ACCESS TO YOUR DATA

Our team members have access to the information you provide. For example, both platform administrators and experience providers have access to:

  1. Information about the order, such as what was purchased and when it was purchased.
  2. Customer information, such as name, e-mail address and billing information.

The administrators of the Explorer FVG team, such as customer service representatives, software developers and marketing staff, have access to the information to help with the correct processing of bookings, refunds, site functionality and support.

WHAT WE SHARE WITH OTHERS

We have some integrations with third parties that help us provide services with orders and other platform services. For example, payment gateways to process and complete your orders or web analytics to improve your shop and shopping experience.

PAYMENTS

We accept payments via PayPal and Stripe. During payment processing, some of your data will be transmitted to PayPal and Stripe, including information necessary to process or support the payment, such as total purchase and billing information.

MODULES

The Explorer FVG platform has modules that perform specific and particular tasks. Each of these modules collects additional information. Third-party extensions and integrations also collect data that are applicable to their respective privacy policies.

REQUEST OR DELETION OF YOUR DATA

If you wish to export your data for viewing or request deletion, you must send a request by e-mail to privacy@explorerfvg.com.

When you want your personal information to be deleted, Explorer FVG will remove all your information obtained in any form. With the exception of transactions, the details of which will remain saved by law, all of your credentials or user ID will be erased so that the information cannot be attributed to any individual. In other words, you cannot be traced with order details alone.

NEWSLETTER

The user has the possibility to subscribe to receive newsletters. With our newsletter, we will send the user information on places to visit, offers, tours and activities in Friuli Venezia Giulia. By registering, the user consents to the processing of his/her e-mail address for the purpose of sending the newsletter. You may revoke your consent at any time and unsubscribe from the newsletter by clicking on the links provided at the bottom of each newsletter.

OPTIONAL PROVISION OF DATA

Apart from what has been specified, the user is free to provide the personal data indicated in the request forms or in any case indicated in contacts to request the sending of informative material or other communications. Failure to provide them may make it impossible to obtain what has been requested.

COMMUNICATION OF PERSONAL DATA

The personal data collected may be communicated to authorised third parties for activities strictly connected and instrumental to the operation of the service, such as the management of the computer system, or for processing carried out by other companies for the same purposes. Outside of these cases, personal data will not be communicated or granted to any third party, unless contractually provided for or authorised by the subjects. In this sense, personal data may be passed on to third parties, but only and exclusively in the event that:

  • there is explicit consent to share the data with third parties;
  • there is a need to share information with third parties in order to provide the requested service;
  • this is necessary to comply with requests from the Judicial or Public Security Authorities.

This site may contain links or references to other websites. The Company does not control the tracking technologies of other websites to which this Policy does not apply.

STORAGE TIME

Personal data are processed by automated means for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected. Personal data collected for statistical analysis purposes are anonymised.

RIGHTS OF THE INTERESTED PARTIES

The persons to whom the personal data refer have the right at any time to obtain confirmation of the existence or non-existence of such data and to know its content and origin, to verify its accuracy or to request its supplementation or update, or rectification (Articles 15 to 22 of EU Regulation 2016/679). Pursuant to Articles 15 et seq. of EU Regulation 2016/679, you have the right to request the deletion, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed in violation of the law, as well as to object in any case, for legitimate reasons, to their processing.

The data subject also has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if he/she considers that the rights set out herein have not been granted to him/her.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Explorer FVG s.r.l.s. periodically checks its privacy and security policies and, if necessary, revises them in relation to regulatory, organisational or technological changes. If the policies are modified, the new version will be published on this page of the site.

LAW AND JURISDICTION

The interpretation and execution of these conditions shall be governed by Italian law. The Court of Udine shall have exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute in any way connected to these conditions. The Data Controller reserves the right to obtain urgent remedies at any Court, also abroad, to protect its interests and enforce its rights.
